magnolia Things fall
down. People look up. And when it rains, it pours.
Wasn't
sure about this film when I heard about it, but quietly surprised is my
reaction after watching it. A very good story, the kind of film that is
difficult to follow but isn't, if that makes any sense. A long running film at 3 hours long but
well worth it. The story runs around the matter of 'chance' and follows
several different stories which are brought together in what could be
described as a'weird' climax. I won't say what but believe me, it is very
strange. The acting is very good and in the case
of Tom Cruise, surprisingly, excellent. I would say his best film ever,
although others would probably disagree. It would be very difficult for me
to go into the story too much or any of the characters as there is very
many of them. But all in all a very good movie and well worth viewing. GY

What
the bloody hell is that all aboot? Great acting, but long, long,
long and I couldn't find a point in it, unless the point was that
everybody dies horribly. Julianne Moore was extremely annoying. DJY
