I
know, I know, what’s a Disney film doing here. Well, it’s worthy I think.
The story is about a large gorilla
(mighty), called Joe who has been befriended by Jill Young, played by
the lovely Charlize Theron.
The gorilla’s mother is killed as
is Therons mother by poachers. The baby is brought up with Jill and
they are ‘friends’. 12 years on, enter Gregg O'Hara(Bill Paxton) a conservationist
drawn by the legend of the ‘Guardian’. Persuasion leads Joe and Jill
to be taken to America to be ‘safe’. Strangely enough, the poachers
from 12 years previous appear and the film takes a ‘king kong’ turn!
This movie will be lots of
fun for kids and the younger at heart,a typical Disney story with good
acting and special effects. GY
