They've created a mobster.
Having
just watched this film it is clear in my mind. Not a brilliant film
by far but none the less has some funny moments.
The deal is that Michael Felgate
(Hugh Grant) is an auctioneer and proposes to his girlfriend Gena Vitale
(Jeanne Tripplehorn) and she says no. It turns out she is part of a
'mob' family. So the father,Frank (James Caan), decides to take Michael
under his wing and so starts the snowballing of a decent man becoming
a mobster.
Theres really not much more to say
about this film, it has some very funny bits, but me not being a great
fan of Grant, I feel the film may have been better with a different
actor playing the role.
Caan is good and Tripplehorn
is good as are many of the other actors. A mediocre film, good if you've
got nothing else to watch. GY
