Where to start...  After watching this film it gets you thinking. Brad Pitt plays a character known through the film as Joe Black, however, Joe has a secret that only he and William Parrish (Anthony Hopkins) know about. Yes, he is Death! Deciding to have a taste of earth Joe allows Parrish extra living time in exchange for a taste of the living realm. Farfetched this may seem, the film is wonderfully shot and the storyline too. Pitt and Hopkins are superb in this movie and having the opportunity to see interviews with both actors they had nothing but praise for each other and quite rightly so.
The more time Joe spends on 'earth' he begins to develop "Feelings" and the kind of feelings that involve Parrish's daughter Susan, played by Claire Folarni. Of course this is not the only goings on and Parrish's empire is at threat throughout only to be aided by Joe near the end to put right any wrongdoings.
The ending, I will not give away, but needless to say doesn't go the way you expect it to, making for a better film.
To round up, this film is a must for all Pitt/Hopkins fans, and if not you will be once you've watched it.GY

Good film; quite enteratining.  Could have been better, I think- the potential was better than the actual.  Hopkins and Pitt were great. DJY
